It's all happening so fast...

Ok...so many things have happened with Logan in the past week! I can't believe how fast all of his 1st's are coming...It's like he does something one day and it dosen't even have time to sink in before he does something else new for the 1st time! I love it but...I wish everything would slow down and give me time to enjoy one thing before the next comes along!! Now I understand why people say to enjoy every minute of their "babiness", because they grow so fast! I can't believe he is almost 1...before he was born a year seemed like forever but since he has been a part of our family...a year is not nearly long enough!

On August 8th, 2009 he figured out if he held onto something and pushed, he could walk behind it. He has this toy basketball goal that is just about his height, he would stand up and push it across the hardwood floor. I then got the idea to go to Toys-R-Us and buy him one of those 3-in-1 toys that grow with the child and when they get old enough they can ride instead of push! SO...of course they have all kinds, a lion, a airplane, and some girlie ones...To be honest I didn't really like any of them! I had decided to go to Wal-Mart and see if they had any different ones until...I looked up on the very top shelf and there was one left...A TONKA truck! That was the one...so 40 bucks later we were on our way! He got home and boy was he truckin'...in fact...a little too fast! He would push it and try to walk behind but b/c we have hardwood floors he would get going too fast and fall down! SOOO...I had to go buy a new living room rug...we needed a new one anyway so it actually worked out pretty good!!

Now...he loves that truck...we put him on it I sit at one end of the room and Daddy sits at the other and we push him back and forth. He laughs like there is no tomorrow...it has got to be the cutest thing I've ever seen!!

August 22, 2009 we were at Uncle Lynn and Brandi's for supper...they have 3 steps that go up from the living room to the kitchen. Logan was just a playin' and watching all the big kids play Wii...I was sitting at the bar in the kitchen and all of a sudden I hear Logan crawling across the floor! I looked down and I will be damned if that little sucker didn't crawl up them steps all by himself! I could not believe...but then he wanted to go back down and obviously, that would not have been a good idea so I picked him up and brought him back in the living room...this went on and on until eventually we had to block the stairs...he was not in the least bit happy about this at all!

Maybe Mama?? August 23, 2009. We were sitting down eating supper and we could have sworn that Logan said "Mama". Every since I have been trying to get him to say it! A couple of times, it sounded like it but...I'm not sure...it could have been baby talk that coincidentally sounded like the word "Mama". We will keep working on this!

On August 27, 2009 i decided to bring Logan in the middle of the living room where he didn't have anything to hold onto and see if he could stand up by himself!! He did for about 5-10 seconds and at that point realized he was not holding on and nobody was holding him so...he dropped to the floor. But in that couple of seconds, I was cheering him on and clapping and he thought it was funny. We are still working on this...he always realizes he is doing it by himself, freaks out and goes strait to the floor...but it never fails everytime he laughs!!

"I'll Take ya for a ride on my big green tractor..."

And Today, August 30, 2009...I was so proud to see my little boy and the Kelly Green and Yellow...A John Deer Tractor that is!! He was so handsome! I am one proud Mama to the worlds cutest little blue eyed angel! I love him soooo much!

"CARPE DIEM"

The phrase "Carpe Diem" means to "Seize the Day" in the French language! When I hear this phrase, it reminds me to live every day to the fullest and put no trust in tomorrow.

I wanted to write this blog last night but my hubby has been working late everyday this week and we got to spend a little time together last night! I am so thankful for him b/c he works such long hours, most days running on only a couple hours of sleep to support us and to make sure we have everything we need and want. He is a wonderful man for taking such good care of us! I am thankful everyday for him and our boys! They are my whole world!

So...Yesterday, was an AWESOME day! First off, I got up and got Geneo to school on time which was an absolute miracle seeing as how he tried everything in the book to stay up late until his daddy got home from work the night before. And when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING...Mom, I'm thirsty, I'm hungry, I have to use the bathroom...Mom...I need to call my daddy to tell him that I love him and goodnight...So this went on until almost Midnight, and when his daddy got home he gave him a mooch and a hug and finally went to sleep! Like I said we haven't seen him alot this week b/c he has been working and Geneo had been missing him! My sweet Boy!!

Later on the morning I was laying down with Logan trying to get him to take a nap...Well, he had other plans! He grabbed the blanket and started playing Peek-A-Boo...I do it to him all the time but that was the first time he did it on his own! It was the cutest thing and he thought it was hilarious! He was laughing in a way that made me realize that my son was a very happy little boy! It almost made me cry to see the happiness in his face! His little blue eyes were shining like a sky full of the brightest stars at night! He made me feel like we were doing a wonderful job as his parents. As the day went on, he was crawling around on the floor...well...for some reason or another he thought it was a good idea to go under the table! I was sitting at the computer and i heard him kinda grunting...I looked around and didn't see him at first...then he started laughing and I realized where he was...My poor angel had his legs all wrapped up in the chair legs and was stuck. Boys will be Boys...always getting into something! He tried to get out...when he realized he couldn't, he started to cry so I had to rescue him! I thought it was quite comical, well until...he started crying!

You can always tell where Geneo ate, there is always crumbs under the table

Shorty after the table incident, it was time for big brother to be home from school! Me and Logan usually wait on the front porch for him to get off the bus...as soon as he starts down the driveway I can always tell from the way he holds his head if he had a good or a bad day!! Well...I know right away he had a good one! He got green, which isn't as good as white, but he only got one warning!! I am so thankful he got a great teacher this year...Mrs. Lungaro was actually his daddy's Kindergarten teacher when he went to A.A. Nelson so many years ago!

As the day wrapped up, we ate dinner minus daddy b/c he worked late again, took baths, and he gave me no excuses about going to bed! Little Man was tired...he layed down and passed out within 5 minutes!

So needless to say, Today Rocked and I was once again reminded of how lucky I am to have these beautiful people in my life. For some reason only god knows, I have been truly blessed and I am thankful everyday!

So..."CARPE DIEM"

Geneo's First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Geneo's first day of Kindergarten...and it went GREAT!! My boy is growing so fast!! He woke up this morning excited and ready to go. He looked so cute in his little uniform, and was beyond pumped about his new backpack and matching lunchbox. Although, the biggest decision of his day was to have a peanut butter & jelly or a turkey & cheese sandwich for lunch!...LOL...Ahhh...the life of a 5 year old!! He got home today and got white (white is very good) and he did not get into any trouble on the bus! I am so proud of him and looking forward to this school year...Last year in Pre-K was somewhat rocky so hopefully it will be a different story this year!

Poor thing went mud-riding with his Paw Paw last weekend and busted his chin on the handle-bars that's why he's got a little bump.

About Us

My husband, Tim (better known as T-Bleu) and I met through a friend of mine that I have known since grade school at South Beauregard Elementary in Longville, LA. My brother (Tanner) and I came to visit her Christmas of 2005...just so happened we arrived just in time to witness her at the time "boyfriend" propose. We later that night had a bonfire and Ashley's now "fiance" invited his cousin T-Bleu over to have some beers and celebrate their engagement. Who would have known that one visit to Louisiana for Christmas would change my life forever? Later that night, while getting to know each other, I learned that T-Bleu had a son, a little boy named Timothy Gene LeBleu III (Geneo). He would turn 2 the next January, I could tell by the way he talked about his son that he had so much love in his heart for that little boy.

As the night went on we kept talking about this and that...and the next morning it was time for my brother and I to leave, it was time for us to travel to my hometown to have Christmas with our family. We said we would keep in touch and we did. After the holidays and the new year rolled in, we talked on the phone for hours upon hours, and made several LOOONG, driving in the middle of the night, trips to visit each other.

In March of 2006, I left my friends and family behind in Oklahoma and moved to Lake Charles. That was one of the hardest things I've ever done. It was very scary to me because I went from just me to a family of three. I wondered if I was making the right decision and as it turned out...I did!

My life changed drastically on March 18, 2008. Guess What?!?! I'm Pregnant! What a welcomed surprise we received that Wednesday afternoon! On May 23, 2008 T-Bleu and I got married. We honeymooned at a bread and breakfast in Natchez, Mississippi.

Months went on, and my belly grew bigger...and on November 21, 2008 at 10:02 AM, Logan Reece LeBleu was born weighing in at 8 Pounds-8 Ounces and 21 Inches long! That was the greatest day of my life, I looked at my baby boy and knew that he would be the greatest accomplishment I would ever make in my life. He was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen.
Ten fingers and ten toes...he was PERFECT! And of course...ya'll know me and my Camo...our boy came home from the hospital in head to toe Mossy Oak.

He will be 9 months old next week...Where has the time gone?? My heart melts every time I look at his sweet face, He reminds me every day why I was put on this Earth. I don't even remember my life without him...seems like it is almost non-existent.

I wish I would have known...

As most of you know, my name is Amanda 'Fenley" Lebleu. I live in Lake Charles, LA. I am originally from Lufkin, TX. I am married to a wonderful man who is a great husband...but most importantly, he is a wonderful father. We have 2 boys, Gene and Logan, who are the center of our world! Hopefully, we can add a little girl to the mix some time in the future. But as for now...we are content.

I got the idea to start a blog spot from a friend who posts blogs about her growing baby girl! I wish I would have known...I would have been doing this a long time ago. It is such a great way to keep family and friends posted on the things that are going on in your life...which is GREAT for me because, I do not get to have regular visits with my family and friends due to the fact they are scattered between Texas and Oklahoma.
