"CARPE DIEM"

The phrase "Carpe Diem" means to "Seize the Day" in the French language! When I hear this phrase, it reminds me to live every day to the fullest and put no trust in tomorrow.

I wanted to write this blog last night but my hubby has been working late everyday this week and we got to spend a little time together last night! I am so thankful for him b/c he works such long hours, most days running on only a couple hours of sleep to support us and to make sure we have everything we need and want. He is a wonderful man for taking such good care of us! I am thankful everyday for him and our boys! They are my whole world!

So...Yesterday, was an AWESOME day! First off, I got up and got Geneo to school on time which was an absolute miracle seeing as how he tried everything in the book to stay up late until his daddy got home from work the night before. And when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING...Mom, I'm thirsty, I'm hungry, I have to use the bathroom...Mom...I need to call my daddy to tell him that I love him and goodnight...So this went on until almost Midnight, and when his daddy got home he gave him a mooch and a hug and finally went to sleep! Like I said we haven't seen him alot this week b/c he has been working and Geneo had been missing him! My sweet Boy!!

Later on the morning I was laying down with Logan trying to get him to take a nap...Well, he had other plans! He grabbed the blanket and started playing Peek-A-Boo...I do it to him all the time but that was the first time he did it on his own! It was the cutest thing and he thought it was hilarious! He was laughing in a way that made me realize that my son was a very happy little boy! It almost made me cry to see the happiness in his face! His little blue eyes were shining like a sky full of the brightest stars at night! He made me feel like we were doing a wonderful job as his parents. As the day went on, he was crawling around on the floor...well...for some reason or another he thought it was a good idea to go under the table! I was sitting at the computer and i heard him kinda grunting...I looked around and didn't see him at first...then he started laughing and I realized where he was...My poor angel had his legs all wrapped up in the chair legs and was stuck. Boys will be Boys...always getting into something! He tried to get out...when he realized he couldn't, he started to cry so I had to rescue him! I thought it was quite comical, well until...he started crying!

You can always tell where Geneo ate, there is always crumbs under the table

Shorty after the table incident, it was time for big brother to be home from school! Me and Logan usually wait on the front porch for him to get off the bus...as soon as he starts down the driveway I can always tell from the way he holds his head if he had a good or a bad day!! Well...I know right away he had a good one! He got green, which isn't as good as white, but he only got one warning!! I am so thankful he got a great teacher this year...Mrs. Lungaro was actually his daddy's Kindergarten teacher when he went to A.A. Nelson so many years ago!

As the day wrapped up, we ate dinner minus daddy b/c he worked late again, took baths, and he gave me no excuses about going to bed! Little Man was tired...he layed down and passed out within 5 minutes!

So needless to say, Today Rocked and I was once again reminded of how lucky I am to have these beautiful people in my life. For some reason only god knows, I have been truly blessed and I am thankful everyday!

So..."CARPE DIEM"
